Phil Smegma, at his hideaway in Havana

Phil Smegma (né Sphincter) first encountered Stig Honda in a massage parlour in Japan. Following this chance meeting, they formed an uneasy partnership and Smegma began to stamp his trademark tyranny on the fledgling GABBA. He insisted they return to New York to record in his private basement studio, hidden beneath a shopping precinct (The Mall of Sound).
Smegma is responsible for the successful careers of a huge roster of stars, including Roy Orbital, The Ronnies (Barker, Biggs & Wood), Mike & Tina Turner Overdrive and many many more.
